Children's Writer & Sometimes Poet
Well, at least it doesn’t have to be. Truth? I’m a bit intimidated by it sometimes. The metaphors and word play some poets use baffle me. Poetry doesn’t have to be fancy and it doesn’t have to be confusing. It just needs two things. Just two.
When poetry is written from a place of truth, the reader will feel something. It might be different than what others feel when they read it. That’s OK. That’s perfect! We all have a lifetime of different experiences, so how are we supposed to see things the same way?
This blog will play with poetry, poetic language, and share some favorite verses I find along the way.
