Children's Writer & Sometimes Poet

If I was a wildflower
I would ride the wind
Day and night around the world
I would dance and twirl and tumble
Until stillness landed me
Rain covered me, settled me
Down into a good place
To root, to dig in and anchor
Then push through the darkness
Set toward the sun
Growing and reaching and growing
At last, to bloom
Not concerned I grew
Among oaks and evergreens
For I bloomed where I was planted
Following the sun wherever it went
